USBA New Jersey
I left to New Jersey on August 27th and took a whole day of traveling just to save a couple hundred bucks and stay the night in an airport. New Jersey is always a fun event to go to. Theres always something going on and its the best to just cruise around town on bikes.
I stayed with my friend Chris Dett and his family and it was sweet
We did a really fun promo at 3rd Ave Surf shop. They gave aways seriously tons and tons of stuff from boards, accessories, wax, shirts, fins, etc... Lots and lots of frothing groms came out to!
Roach was there and everyone was soo stoked about that!
Kids did anything for a board, especially with Mannys Vargas ideas of things haha it was wild.
Some guy bought a Wave Rebel board which was awesome.
We did another promo on the beach for free bodyboarding lessons on the 31st. The beach was soo crowed! Verizon wireless was one of the sponsors and was giving out loads of free product along with scion. Its always fun teaching people to bodyboard and pushing them into waves. All of a sudden there hooked, its so rad. I got to use the mic and just talk about bodyboarding and peoples questions (lucky I took a communication class at school)
There were actually waves which was awesome. I wounded up making it to the semi finals and tieing for 5th place with another cali rider Tyler Wieman. Spencer Skipper from Hawaii won the event with all his stylish bags of tricks.
My friend Chris Dett who I was staying with killed the amateur event and took first! His fam and I were there to cheer for him at the award ceremony it was awesome!

Jeremy we miss you and we were gonna use that pic of us and you for our christmas card. Hope you come back to NJ over the summer. YOu are always welcome back at our house. TOmmy wants your address so we can send u a christmas card. Caroline's email address is lildett@aol.com she always checks it so it'd be best to send it to her if you want.
