Timmy Hamilton comes and visits!

One of my best friends Timmy Hamilton stayed with me in between the busyness of his sisters Bethany's video premiere Soul Surfer. The waves weren't the greatest but we always try and have fun on the boog. Tim is SUBing and im proning.
I dropped Timmy off to meet up with his family in Santa Monica, my girlfriend came and we checked out the shopping center along with eating at Johnny Rockets. It was an awesome day!

She came at a SUPRISE!

One of my best friends and surf buddy Dustin and I scored a solo session at our favorite summer time spot. There were other people there but everyone got out at the same time and we scored for about an hour by our self, just trading sets after sets. After that hour was up about 15 people came and the waves got a lot worse, that was it for that session. Dustin got so many good ones and I was having so much fun being in bigger surf and trying to get some ramps.
RON DOG was there for some photo support and got some AMAZING empties along with other shots of us that I couldn't post. Thanks ron!!

We celebrated my Dad and Sister in law Christina birthday over the weekend which was epic!

Dave Ramsey and Les Brown Live!

My Dad took me to see Dave Ramsey live on March 24th. I was excited to hear him speak but to my surprise Les Brown was also speaking!! Les Brown is my favorite motivational speaker of all time and I had NO IDEA he was going to be there. When I saw his name posted on the sign of the Alex theater, I started quoting a bunch of his quotes and imitating how he talks to my dad and we couldn't help but laugh at how goofy I am. The night was awesome and hanging out with my Dad was the greatest! We also stopped by this Taquito restaurant on Olivera Street in LA. My parents have been taking me there since I was born and they have the BEST taquito sauce.

Chase Millers Shots from Home

The waves this morning were so sick! My friend Dustin and I were the only people out for about an hour in a half and were wayy better. We came back in the afternoon and the waves still looked fun but with a lot more people out. My friend Chase Miller stopped by in between work and school and shot these two shots of me in about 10 minutes! Thanks Chase and keep working hard and stay focused on your goals! Chase is also a talented musician and I will post a blog on some of his music!

Dentist and New Reading Glasses

Going to the Dentist is never fun but man my Dentist that I see makes it as enjoyable as possible. The staff always keep up on the blog and know exactly what is going on its so rad of them! Luckily I have no floss and my teeth are looking good! Just a reminder to floss and brush daily :)
I also have my new reading glasses and am stoked!! I LOVE to read and these bad boys will keep my eye vision strong. Almost done reading 48 Days to the work you love by Dan Miller, I HIGHLY recommend it. Read and challenge yourself!

Detox

My parents are doing a month long Detox diet. I only did the diet for five days and lost 11 pounds, I don't want to lose more weight and felt I was losing a lot of energy it was weird for me. I stopped the diet but am still eating with my parents and doing most of the meals but also eating other stuff since I need more calories a day. My parents are going strong and are going to finish the diet, they are FOCUSED!

Three different days in the water

Ross Fletcher sent me these shots from my local beach from three different days. The waves weren't the biggest or even the greatest but it was cool to catch up with all the old school boogies, a bunch of my buddies that I haven't seen in a while and of course get some pits with one of my best friends and most amped surf buddy Dustin! I got a really good right barrel to air right in front of Dustin which was sick, still jonesing on it!

Jon Jones Wins

Jon Jones won his fight last night and became the new champ. I knew he was going to kill it! So amped!
I learn a lot from him each interview and his work ethic inspires me to keep working to be better and better each day in my sport! So siked! Watch Jon Jones video on "In the Moment" for some motivational goodness, very inspiring!

Man of la Mancha Musical

My parents and girlfriend and I went to the Man Of La Mancha Musical. The room I rent in Kauai is from Mike Adnoff and his daughter had the lead role in the play, she did a great job and the play was cool.
One quote I really liked was during a song, you can read it below.

The Girls at our church put on a sick event for the guys. It was a "James Bond" theme. They made a good dinner and thought of some of the funnest games! The games got intense with so many competitive people on hand. I even got my shirt ripped and I think everyone got injured. It was an epic time!

These past few days have been really fun for waves lately.

My Eye

I have been seeing the same eye doctor since I was 6 years old. This is how my eye looks! I will be getting reading glasses. I have quite a lot of reading to do to keep on track of my goal to read 15 books this year. Amping!

Jon Jones

I make it a point to listen to other athletes during interviews to see how they respond to questions, present themselves while also trying to learn from them. All the interviews I have ever watched of UFC fighter Jon Jones have been so right on. One thing that I have learned from him is that he is always prepared for his fights. He does all that he can do to prepare by surrounding himself around the best people possible to build him up and challenge him, his diet is world class, he gives his all on game day and leaves the rest up to the LORD. I am a big fan of his and hope he wins the title in his upcoming fight!
