Micah Judah Wright is the newest edition to the WRIGHT family! He was born July 22nd 6lbs 13oz. 19 3/4 inches. I got to see him the day he was born along with my parents. Emma's mum is so amazing and came from Australia to hang out in cali for a bit and help her out. Every year I got to Australia I always hang with her side of the family the Prunty's eat amazing meals and just feel like a part of the family. To have them on American soil is amazing! I can't wait for her dad mike to get her cause that means Golf time!

Fun waves and stopping by Alternative Surf

On the 21st I got to get some un crowded waves by home. Waves were super fun and I got some footage that im giving to the RXYM guys for there video, "The End". I also got a 3 minute interview on Fox 11 which was sweet! I had a bunch of family and friends text me, write to me on Facebook and Twitter that they saw me. I even had aunts, uncles and family friends call my parents telling them to watch in live! On the way home from the beach I got to catch up with Ron Dog from Alternative Surf and see how the shop is doing. It was an awesome day!

My friend Britany and I went to the Pete Carroll signing on the 19th for his new book "Win Forever". The place was packed and over 600 people came out to buy books, get autographs and hang with the coach. We stayed to hear his speech, get the book and bailed. I can't wait to start reading it!

On the 20th there was a solid south in the water. I decided to go up north with my friend Jordan and Dustin. Thing's did not go as planned but I got to meet up with coach Jacob Reeves and surf one of his spots which he destroyed. It was sweet because it was a wave I have never been to and never even knew existed. I made an edit of my good friend Dustin from a wave he got in April, he rips. Thats me in the vid siking for him haha

Ryan Frazzettas First contest and helping Jax and friends paint

Little Ryan Frazzetta invited me to go to his first bodyboard contest for the sixth stop for the BIA tour on July 17th. I was super stoked to support him because I fully remember my first contest and everything about it. Who I drove with, how the waves were, how nervous I was etc... Every time I see Ryan he is getting better and better which is so cool to see. Below is an edit that I made and some shots taken by Alex Verharst.

I only stayed at the contest for a few hours before I booked it to help my friend Jackie Urquazia move to her new place with some friends. I also got to help paint with my best friend Kevin, and Kara. It was sick to catch up with them!

Hawaii Times and Sandy's Contest

I got to go to Hawaii on July 5th to the 12th. I competed in the Sandy's contest and got 17th. Was pretty bummed on my result because I felt my surfing has been good but I didn't get the best waves in my heat, that's how contest go sometimes. Everyone in the contest was going crazy and surfing amazing! I stayed with my friend Nick Seymour. His family made my Hawaii trip amazing! Every day was different but busy with bodyboarding, fishing, kayaking, biking, swimming, hiking, playing games, studying (rarely haha), and just enjoying life in Hawaii. Guilherme Tamega won the pro open and David Hubbard took out DK. Both Finals were nothing short of AMAZING!

Family visit, Hanging with OG friends and off to Hawaii

The waves have been really fun everyday and I have been able to try out my new boards like crazy. I got home from the beach and to my surprise my Uncle JJ and his family were on there way to hang out with us! I haven't seen my Uncle in years so I was excited! When I was 13 years old I spent all summer with him, his wife and my cousin in Virginia. My parents were happy that I was out of there hair since I was big time trouble maker when I was young. Plus as a little kid I was excited to be somewhere new! That summer my uncle JJ took me to about eight different states and taught me some really cool things that I will never forget! It was nothing but good times and looking back I was such a lucky kid! Thank you Uncle JJ!!

I am pretty into the UFC and how dedicated most of the fighters are about there training and wanting to be the very best that they can be. UFC 116 was looking insane with these two HUGE heavy weight fighters. Shane Carwin and Brock Lesnar. I got to watch the fight with some OG friends since the 6th grade! My friend Jeff Hysong and Aaron Anthony. I get to see Aaron here and there while I am home and he is really into training and fighting which was cool because he had the sickest commentary! Jeff growing up was my best friend all throughout Jr High and lived right around the block from me. We pretty much did everything together all the time. Jeff moved to Arizone for a while and I haven't seen him forever! He is now back in cali which is sick! Overall it was an epic fight with two epic friends! Couldn't be any more stoked!

I just finished packing for Hawaii. I will be competing in the Sandy's contest which is the second stop for the US Tour. I can't wait to be in warm, clear water and tropical weather. My froth level is all time and after watching this promo video about 9x in a row I can't wait for my 10am flight!

My friend Chase and I did a last minute road trip (We left at 11:30pm that night haha) to RXYM team managers Matt Byzaks house so I could meet up with RXYM owner Ray Machado to get my new boards stamped, pick up some gear but more importantly pick up the box of goodies for the new addition to the team! I can't say who it is but it is official and the press release will be posted on the site as soon as it is out. The only hint I can say is that he is doing the sandy beach pro and from Hawaii. Okay thats it!

Vans Warped Tour, Jason's Birthday, and new Body Glove Summer suits

I have never been to the Vans Warped Tour ever. I finally got to go to one on June 25th in Carson. My manager got my friend Chase and I backstage all access passes to the event which was super sick! I was really excited to meet up and hang out with my friend Joel who is the drummer in the band Confide, hang out with Winston McCall who is a sick bodyboarder from Australia and also lead singer of Parkway Drive, meet a bunch of people that my manager had planned for me to meet like the owner of Vans and the head marketing guy at Monster but most importantly to see this band Poema so I could finally meet this girl Sheaaleen Puckett who I have a HUGE crush on haha It was a epic day!
